The Long Christmas Dinner

17 December, 2019

by Thornton Wilder
arranged by Gary Bird

Special Christmas playreading at the English Church Hall

The Long Christmas Dinner is an one-act 40 min play that represents in accelerated motion ninety years of the Bayard family's Christmas dinners. Wilder breaks the boundaries of time as we measure it, and invites us to partake of “one long, happy Christmas dinner” – past, present, and future. As generations appear, have children, wither, and depart, only the audience appreciates what changes and what remains the same.

This reading will take place at the English Church Hall, 14b rue du Mont-Blanc. More information and the official party details are available on the party event.
