Come participate in this interactive GEDS Workshop led by Sam Al-Hamdani and gain an insight into the world of sound in theatre! The Workshop is a combination of theory and hands-on exploration of sound software and equipment. It'll be fun and you'll learn heaps. Free for GEDS members, 20 CHF for non-members.
For Whom?The Sound Workshop is addressed to anyone interested in sound for theatre at a beginner or intermediate level and who would like to get a better understanding of sound in theatre. By the end of the workshop you will be able to: · Use your laptop together with the sound console · Understand the different types of cables and plugs · Choose and edit sound effects · Set cues and playback · Rig microphones
Please bring your own laptop or tablet along so that you can already start working with free software or trial versions of software. If you do not have a laptop or tablet, please let us know so that we can arrange to provide one for you.

Sam Al-Hamdani is a designer, photographer, writer, improviser and director. He has many years of experience in sound for radio and theatre, and is ready to teach the tricks of the trade to all of you!
